‘who are the greenstocks?’ you may ask.

to local folk the name greenstock is synonymous with fine food, the family having built a reputation for excellence in the restaurant business in nearby chipping campden and latterly the howard arms in ilmington (awarded the accolade of ‘uk dining pub of the year 2005’ by the good pub guide).  now, with the launch of the horse & groom and its revival as a ‘proper pub’ for local’s to enjoy, the greenstock name is set to achieve new heights – and there’s always going to be the challenge to uphold that reputation for excellence!
